ABOUT IAG

About IAG

The Indian Academy of Geriatrics (IAG) was established in 2002 by a group of academically distinguished clinicians from across the country who shared a strong interest in the field of Geriatrics.

Since its inception, the Academy has made significant strides in promoting geriatric care by organizing annual conferences and continuing medical education (CME) programs aimed at training healthcare professionals nationwide.

IAG has also played an active role in shaping government policies related to the care of older adults. Today, it stands as a robust network of healthcare professionals dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly in India.

Additionally, several state and city chapters of the IAG are actively working to equip clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver individualized, holistic care to older patients.
